About Me

My photo
Two five-ten blondes fighting against the stereotype to find love, success, and a way to pay the rent. *** We're passionate about our seriously stressful careers in the apex of the luxury fashion world. (No, it's not like the Devil Wears Prada- our Devils only wear custom and pay for their anonymity.) *** We're on the search for the elusive 'great' guy (who must be intimidated because we can't find him anywhere). Being 5'10" and blonde is a double-edged sword. Our stories are fucking ridiculous. *** Fortunately and unfortunately for us, we share the same story as millions of women who have been violated: we are determined to make a difference in the lives of women who have seen too much. *** WELCOME TO OUR WORLD.

Work It!

FASHION WEEK HAS BEGUN

First Stop: Dannijo

This was the brand's first Fashion Week Presentation at the Gem Hotel. The line is full of gorgeous, unique statement pieces. I know the designers from my hometown, so it was really nice to catch up with them.

I also ran into the up & coming New York designer Timo. He has been praised as the next Marc Jacobs.

I raced home to change for the next stop: L'Effrontee party at Rosebar

I met up with my Boo for free vodka and a night of networking. We met the owner of L'Effrontee and watched her presentation alongside the table of models that were in the film. She carries amazing accessories from international designers. Of coarse only I would run into two less than respectable males from 4 years ago! One actually took to my Boo's advances, which is surprising as he was an abusive boyfriend to my model friend. The other one I met randomly and had an impromptu dance party at his friend's house after multiple bottles of champagne. He followed me around asking if I wanted to "powder my nose" with him. Then I met a guy who spends half of his time in Milan! Perfecto! He isn't my type, but the European connections are endless.

Three vodkas and a champagne later, Boo and I strutted around the room and headed up to Jade (Gramercy Hotel Rooftop). It was quiet, so we entertained ourselves by scoping out the artwork and met up with some friends.

Stop #3: The Lion
Too bad we were 4 hours too late for the Brian Atwood party! The place was literally closing, so we skipped off to Provocateur.

Stop #4: Provocateur
I am usually not a fan, but my Boo promised we would just hang out in the garden lounge. The crowd was basically everyone from Rosebar with a few added NY promoters and Saudi princes with their security teams (not even kidding). I started talking to a NY nightlife king and his table of friends, while Boo went to dance in "the darkside" as I like to call it. While I was being unsuccessfully seduced, my Boo was making out with an A-list CAA agent! I should have answered his BBMs to join him!! Instead I was being offered this guy's kid's cut up fruit and pajamas if I went home with him? He should know better! Kids are a total boner killer to a sexed up 28 year old blonde out during Fashion Week.

We ended the night around 4am. I was freezing and trying to hide in my oversized cashmere cowl neck. I shared a cab with my Boo and nearly froze walking the 2 blocks to my apartment! It was a great start to a crazy week! Networking in this city is like a drug, once you start you don't want to stop.
